Project: Sparatan Superway

Description

The Spartan Superway is a senior project that design and build a solar-powered, non-scheduled and fully-customized transportation networks that drive from origin to destination without intermediate stop or transfers.

For my role, we aim to develop a 1-DOF switching mechanism that holds over 543 Newtons of force when switching in a 10-meter track by contacting an overhead structure. Besides creating CAD models for the arm, we also designed a microcontroller to better fit the limited space in the bogie chassis and build a direct connection with the IOT dashboard as well as other MCUs over WiFi modules.
